Description

This course provides a thorough understanding of sanctions and an opportunity to explore the recent global trends in economic sanctioning while tracing the role of the relevant actors within this complex framework. You will examine the motives and rationale behind such decisions, the resulting effects and the consequences experienced not only by the targeted parties but also those doing business with them, either directly or indirectly. The course is structured to offer the relevant knowledge with reference to practical examples that will enable for a sanctions compliance strategy to be conducted in an effective manner, essential mitigating the sanctions risk.

Training Duration

This course may take up to 5 hours to be completed. However, actual study time differs as each learner uses their own training pace.

Participants

This course is ideal for anyone wishing to understand the essential definitions of sanctions, the global framework and the main risks considered within a sanctions compliance strategy.

Training Method

The course is offered fully online using a self-paced approach. The learning units are based on reading material. Learners may start, stop, and resume their training at any time.

At the end of each session, participants take a Quiz to complete their learning unit and earn a Certificate of Completion upon completion of all units and the final test.

Accreditation and CPD Recognition

This programme has been developed by the European Insitute of Management and Finance (EIMF), an EU Based recognised training institution.

The syllabus is verified by external subject matter experts and can be accredited by regulators and other bodies for 5 CPD Units that require CPD training in financial regulation. The course may be also approved for CPD Units by institutions which approve general financial training, such as the CISI, ICA and ACAMS.

Eligibility criteria and CPD Units are verified directly by your association, regulator or other bodies which you hold membership.
